Abstrak

Regita Chintya Kilisay (31170087), The Effectiveness of Spoof Text to Teach Simple Past Tense (A Field Research at the Second Years Student of SMP N 1 Puriala)

The objective of this research is to know how the effectiveness spoof text to teach simple past tense. The research was conducted at the second years student of SMP N 1 Puriala, academic year 2019/2020. The data were collected through observation, teaching learning process and post test. This method contains, how to implement and improve students ability to understand simple past tense by using spoof text. Post test was mean to evaluate the action conducted in this research. The result of this research indicated that: (1) Teaching simple past by using spoof text is a good solution to facilitate students in understanding simple past tense, so the students can learn English grammar actively, (2) The using spoof text in learning process will be interesting and increasing the students achievement on learning English grammar especially simple past tense , (3) students become more active in responding to the material and responding to questions given by researcher. So, they will more understand about the lesson.
