Abstrak

Imam Taufik (31170077), Improving the Bike Owners' Speaking Skills at Kota Tua through Action Learning Strategy

 

The main purpose of this teaching is to improve the ability to speak in English and confidence in loving English lessons by applying the method of action learning. Teaching takes place in the field in the Old City of Jakarta. This paper provides a qualitative method. Data collected through the process of teaching and learning, observation and research. The final results of improving this ability are: (1) The students must understand simple language in English reading and practicing English dialogue with correct pronunciation. In the last meeting, the teacher gave and evaluated the score in terms of their pronunciation and fluency in English (2) The effectiveness of teaching English through the action learning method in speaking was very effective because when the learning method began, they didn't just listen to the material. But they practice and listen to the material at the same time so that they can easily understand the material. (3) Improve teamwork when having a conversation in English. This research is very important in providing translation methods or techniques to readers in a fun way and makes students feel bored while learning English.
