Kampus Merdeka telah menawarkan program MBKM, salah satunya studi independen.Program MBKM ditutup dengan rangkaian capstone project. Kelompok NewsCloud membuat BeritaGenZ untuk menjawab tantangan capstone project.Pada website portal berita ini menggunakan layanan Cloud Platform as a Service karena provider tanpa harus memikirkan sistem operasi, jaringan, database engine, namun pengguna tetap memiliki kontrol atas aplikasi yang dikembangkan. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan untuk mendapatkan suatu informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam mencapai tujuan penelitian. Dalam penyusunan tugas akhir ini penulis menggunakan metode pengumpulan data yaitu observasi. Metode pengumpulan data observasi dilakukan terhadap objek penelitian dengan menggunakan pencatatan secara sistematik terhadap gejala-gejala yang ada hubungannya dengan masalah yang diteliti.Berdasarkan latar belakang yang telah dijabarkan, penelitian ini menggunakan Amazon Web Sevice dalam mengembangkan website. Cloud Solution Architecture sebagai desain arsitect, serta total cost of ownership estimation digunakan untuk mengestimasi biaya layanan yang digunakan di AWS untuk membangun website BeritaGenZ. Selain menambah banyak ilmu pengetahuan, Studi Independen Bersertifikat juga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dan sikap mahasiswa sehingga meningkatkan kesiapan dan keterserapan mahasiswa di dunia kerja dan dunia usaha. Berdasarkan ilmu yang didapatkan selama melaksanakan program MSIB di Orbit Chairos Academy, maka diimplementasikanlah ilmu tersebut untuk membuat proyek akhir ini.

Merdeka Campus has offered MBKM programs, one of which is independent study. The MBKM program closes with a series of capstone projects, where participants are formed into teams of five. The NewsCloud group created BeritaGenZ to answer the challenges of the capstone project. This news portal website uses the Cloud Platform service as a Service because the provider does not have to think about the operating system, network, database engine, but the user still has control over the application being developed. Data collection methods are used to obtain the information needed to achieve research objectives. In the preparation of this final task the author uses a data collection method, namely observation. Observation data collection methods are carried out on research objects using systematic recording of symptoms that are related to the problem being studied. Based on the background that has been described, this research uses Amazon Web Services in developing the website. Cloud Solution Architecture as the architectural design, as well as the total cost of ownership estimation is used to estimate the cost of services used on AWS to deploy the BeritaGenZ website. Apart from adding a lot of knowledge, Certified Independent Studies can also improve students' skills and attitudes thereby increasing student readiness and absorption in the world of work and the world of business. Based on the knowledge gained while carrying out the MSIB program at Orbit Chairos Academy, this knowledge was implemented to make this final project.
