Wilia Yusita (31180115), Sacrifices of Two Main Characters in Nicholas Sparks’ The Bet of Me Novel

 

The purpose of the study is to find out about the meaning of sacrifice in a relationship entitled the Sacrifice of  Two Main Character in The Best of Me novel. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The research collects several sources of data or information from all related references in the best of me novel. The of this study reveal the sacrifice of love between of two main character played by Amanda Collier and Dawson Cole. The results of the analysis in this novel, prove the meaning of a sacrifice in a love relationship that is told in the novel The Best of Me, which is played by Dawson Cole and Amanda Collier as the main characters.  Sacrifice is an important role for writers, especially in having a romantic relationship, one of which is sacrificing for a partner. From there, we understand that sacrifice is not only about love, but something that is desired requires sacrifice.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tentang makna pengorbanan dalam sebuah hubungan yang berjudul pengorbanan dua tokoh utama dalam novel The Best of Me. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan beberapa sumber data atau informasi dari semua referensi terkait dalam novel The Best of Me. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan pengorbanan cinta antara dua karakter utama yang diperankan oleh Amanda Collier dan Dawson Cole. Hasil analisis dalam novel ini, membuktikan arti sebuah pengorbanan dalam hubungan cinta yang di ceritakan dalam novel The Best of Me yang di perankan Dawson Cole dan Amanda Collier sebagai karakter utama. Pengorbanan merupakan peran penting bagi penulis terutama dalam menjalin hubungan asmara salah satunya ada yang berkorban untuk pasangan dari situ kita paham bahwa pengorbanan tidak hanya tentang cinta saja tetapi sesuatu yang diinginkan sangat butuh pengorbanan.
