ABSTRACT

 

Antasifa Muhairoh (31180067), Psychological Courage of an Osteosarcoma Sufferer in Clouds Movie Directed by Justin Baldoni.

 

The objective of this research is to explore the psychological courage of an Osteosarcoma Sufferer in Clouds Movie Directed by Justin Baldoni through a descriptive qualitative method. The research was the conducted on a movie called Clouds. The data were collected through summarization, description, interpretation, and analysis of the movie and many others. This research contains psychological courage, effect, and moral message through a qualitative method. The research indicates that: (1) there is some psychological courage, such as; Zach who dared to appear on the school art show replaced Sammy. Zach with his condition is trying to entertain the audience. He is not afraid of death that is approaching. Zach is trying to keep fighting his cancer. He has persistence in living life. Zach is trying to make his wish come true. He also tried to stay productive., (2) the effect psychological courage of main character, and there are 4 of effect: a. bravery b. never gives up c. spread happiness d. positive vibes, (3) moral message implied of the characters in Clouds movie, and there are 5 of moral message: a. consider our death and our lives because every day is our last day b. do not waste time on useless things c. focus on the most important thing love well and approach each moment with gratitude d. do not surrender with the weakness e. always look at to the future, do not think set back.

ABSTRAK

Antasifa Muhairoh (31180067), Psychological Courage of an Osteosarcoma Sufferer in Clouds Movie Directed by Justin Baldoni.

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali keberanian psikologis Penderita Osteosarkoma dalam Film Awan karya Justin Baldoni melalui metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada film berjudul Clouds. Data dikumpulkan melalui ringkasan, analisis film, dan banyak lainnya. Penelitian ini berisi tentang keberanian psikologis, pengaruh, dan pesan moral melalui metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada beberapa keberanian psikologis, seperti; Zach yang berani tampil di pentas seni sekolah menggantikan Sammy. Zach dengan kondisinya berusaha menghibur penonton. Dia tidak takut dengan kematian yang mendekat. Zach berusaha untuk terus berjuang melawan kankernya. Dia memiliki kegigihan dalam menjalani hidup. Zach berusaha mewujudkan keinginannya. Dia juga berusaha untuk tetap produktif., (2) efek keberanian psikologis tokoh utama, dan terdapat 4 efek: a. keberanian b. tidak pernah menyerahC. menyebarkan kebahagiaan d. aura positif, (3) pesan moral tersirat dalam film Awan, dan pesan moral ada 5: a. mempertimbangkan kematian dan hidup kita karena setiap hari adalah hari terakhir kita b. tidak membuang waktu untuk hal yang tidak berguna c. fokus pada hal yang paling penting cintai dengan baik dan dekati setiap momen dengan rasa syukur d. tidak menyerah dengan kelemahan e. selalu melihat ke depan, jangan memikirkan masa lalu.
