Abstrak

ABSTRACT

 

Aymi Haryati (31170093), Public Speaking Skills for Tour Guide Service at the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia

The National Library of the Republic of Indonesia has become one of educational tourist attraction in Jakarta. The writer uses descriptive qualitative research method and did the research at the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia for three months. Based on this research, the writer found (1) the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia provides tour guide service inside and outside the building. Tour guide service inside the building provides a building, facilities, and services tour. Tour guide service outside the building provides an information to use the digital access from the library. (2) To request tour guide service inside or outside (mobile electronic library bus) people can submit a permit letter addressed to the chief of the library. (3) The writer found that a good public speaking skill for tour guide service make the visitors do not get confuse when they visit the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. Verbal and Non-verbal communication are using to make guide session more interesting. Through introducing the facilities inside the building and the digital access to the visitors, the tour guide service has become more interesting and make the visitors do not get confuse to enjoy the facilities and service.
