Many lessons can be drawn from the movie media, one of which is racism in the movie  "Just Mercy". The purpose of this study is to reveal human racist behavior that is still developing today. This film tells the story of a Harvard-educated lawyer named Bryan Stevenson, who fights for justice, especially for black people who are threatened with the death penalty without a clear judicial process. This movie  is a true story that happened in America and can make the audience feel what the actors feel, as well as provide a realistic picture of how the majority group commits acts of racism against minority groups. The method taken in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study reveal the types of racism that are accepted by the characters, which consist of individual racism, interpersonal racism, institutional racism and structural racism. Besides that, factors such as stereotypes, the emergence of insecurity and also racial discrimination are factors that cause racism in the black race. also the positive and negative effects of racist acts received by the victims.
