movie directed by Denis Villeneuve.

 

The purpose  of this paper is motivated  by implicit meaning in the movie  about xenophobia towards Foreigner. The writer wants to discuss the form of xenophobia the symptoms of xenophobia and moral values. The method that is used in the study is  a  qualitative  descriptive  research  method.  The  data  used  in  this  research  is literature work arrival the movie. The data that is used in  this research is quotes from dialogue in the film and picture. The writer also  supports the data by using theoretical book analysis and journals. The results of this analysis is there are two forms of significant being found in the arrival movie which are anxiety and negative stereotype and real risk. The symptoms of xenophobia found are rash generalization and stereotype  and feeling of fear or  dread. There are three moral values in the arrival movie found by writer. Those are respect, persistence and bravery.

Tujuan  dari  makalah  ini  dimotivasi  oleh  makna  tersirat  dalam  film   tentang xenophobia  terhadap  orang  asing.  Penulis  ingin  membahas  bentuk  xenophobia, gejala xenophobia dan nilai-nilai moral. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah  metode  penelitian  deskriptif  kualitatif.  Data  yang  digunakan  dalam penelitian  ini  adalah  karya  sastra  film  Arrival.  Data  yang  digunakan  dalam penelitian  ini  adalah  kutipan  dari  dialog  dalam film  dan  gambar.  Penulis  juga mendukung  data  dengan  menggunakan  analisis  buku  teoritis  dan  jurnal.  Hasil analisis ini ada dua bentuk signifikan yang ditemukan dalam film Arrival yaitu are anxiety  and  negative  stereotype  and  real  risk.  Gejala-gejala  xenophobia  yang ditemukan adalah rash  generalization  and stereotype and feeling of fear or dread. Ada tiga nilai moral dalam film kedatangan yang ditemukan oleh penulis. Itu adalah rasa hormat, kegigihan, dan keberanian.
