Nindi Fajri Astuti (31170164), Teaching English Pronoun By Using Formal Cooperative Learning Method (A Field Research at MTs. Ar Rofiqy)

 

Pronoun is included in the form of grammar, which plays an important role in supporting the four English skills. But many students who difficulty to understand it, and make students lazy to learn English. Therefore, the writer looks for teaching methods that can make students learning pronoun easier, for that the writer applies the formal cooperative method to students. This research aims to increase the enthusiasm of students in learning English and increase student knowledge in pronoun. The research using descriptive qualitative method. Data is taken from library research and field research on students VII-A grade at MTs. Ar Rofiqy at meetings 14 and 15. The results of the study show that: (1) formal cooperative learning methods can increase student motivation; (2) increase students' understanding in English pronoun; (3) Student is more confident to ask and exchange ideas. Thus, formal cooperative learning methods can be applied in English pronoun learning in MTs. Ar Rofiqy.
