Personality disorder described as maladaptive patterns of traits where they will be behaving differently from people with no personality disorder. Personality disorder is actually a common mental disorder. A simple yet complex behavior of human beings.  One of personality disorder is dissociative identity disorder. The focus of this paper is to know about the symptoms, cause and treatment of dissociative identity disorder from the main character in the Split movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a condition where two or more different identity or personality states exist in a person. Dissociative Identity Disorder is a problem concerning identity, emotion, memory, perception, and behavior. The writer chooses qualitative descriptive method in writing this paper. The writer uses theories from experts to analyze this paper as reference of the main character’s dissociative identity disorder. The results of this paper are: (1) two distinct personality states, discontinuous identity; (2) the main character is experiencing trauma event in his childhood; (3) the main character undergo therapy regularly to helps him to act accordingly.

Gangguan kepribadian dijelaskan sebagai pola sifat maladaptif dimana mereka akan berperilaku berbeda dengan orang yang tidak memiliki gangguan kepribadian. Gangguan kepribadian sebenarnya adalah gangguan kesehatan yang umum. Perilaku manusia yang sederhana namun kompleks. Salah satu gangguan kepribadian adalah gangguan identitas disosiatif. Fokus tulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui tentang gejala-gejala, penyebab, dan perawatan untuk gangguan identitas disosiatif pada tokoh utama dalam film Split yang disutradarai oleh M.Night Shyamalan. Gangguan identitas disosiatif adalah kondisi dimana dua atau lebih identitas berbeda atau kepribadian ada dalam diri seseorang. Gangguan identitas disosiatif adalah masalah mengenai identitas, emosi, memori, persepsi, dan perilaku. Penulis memilih metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam tulisan ini. Dalam tulisan ini penulis menggunakan teori-teori dari para ahli sebagai referensi untuk menganalisa gangguan identitas disosiatif pada tokoh utama. Hasil dari tulisan ini adalah: (1) dua keadaan kepribadian yang berbeda, identitas terputus-putus; (2) tokoh utama mengalami trauma pada masa kecilnya; (3) tokoh utama menjalani terapi untuk membantunya bertindak yang sesuai.

Gangguan identitas disosiatif adalah kondisi dimana dua atau lebih identitas berbeda atau kepribadian ada dalam diri seseorang. Gangguan identitas disosiatif adalah masalah mengenai identitas, emosi, memori, persepsi, dan perilaku. Penulis memilih metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam tulisan ini. Dalam tulisan ini penulis menggunakan teori-teori dari para ahli sebagai referensi untuk menganalisa gangguan identitas disosiatif pada tokoh utama. Hasil dari tulisan ini adalah: (1) dua keadaan kepribadian yang berbeda, identitas terputus-putus; (2) tokoh utama mengalami trauma pada masa kecilnya; (3) tokoh utama menjalani terapi untuk membantunya bertindak yang sesuai.
