Abstrak

The aims of this study was to find out about changes in the teaching era during the Covid-19 pandemic, the most dominant influence on changes in this era was education. This research is descriptive qualitative to describe the analysis in a factual, accurate and systematic manner. Distance learning is education that is taught from a distance without a physical classroom and is located in a separate location so that it requires an interactive telecommunications system to connect the two. The use of technology for teaching such as the use of the Google Meet application at SMP Islam Malahayati gives contextual meaning to the development of the times or technology which refers to the experience while teaching students in online virtual classes as well as making educational and teaching activities for teachers across levels. Implementation of technology in learning and teaching in a new, different, and simple way. The contextual meaning of teaching reading using Google Meet at SMP Islam Malahayati provides about the many experiences in learning and teaching for students involving resources and opportunities as learning resources.
