Watching movie is one of the interesting and fun activity to be done in leisure time. However, not only watching movie, but also understand the character is much better. It is said so, because the role of character is making up a story. As finishing this thesis, the writer uses or raises the method of Direct – Indirect Presentation underlying this matter. Especially, the writer uses Laurence Perrine’s theory about characters. The purpose of this thesis is to find out about six characters within the movie of Spiderman 1 directed by Sam Raimi. So, the result of this thesis is, they are six characters who have different, absolutely, characteristics each other. The characters are Peter Parker to be having Superhuman and Nerdy, Norman Osborn has villain, maniac, and ambitious, Mary Jane Watson has Hard-worker, Humorous, and Trustworthy of the character, Harry Osborn has Jealousy and Loyal, and the last Ben Parker is showing protective and motivator, and the last is Rosemary has the character of being Worried.
