Abstrak

Dadap Cheng In’s children still have minimal knowledge of English vocabulary. During the implementation of the MBKM Program, teaching activities were carried out using expository learning strategy as a step to introduce and impart the knowledge of English to these children using vocabulary as learning material. The use of learning strategy is crucial in supporting the implementation of the learning process in order that it can run optimally and efficiently. The purpose of this research is to find out the causes of the children’s lack of English vocabulary knowledge. In addition, to help the children improve their vocabulary, as well as to help the children memorize the vocabulary that has been taught properly. The research method used to collect the data and information is a qualitative research method by observing the targets that will be used to become research objects. The results of this research indicate that Dadap Cheng In’s children knowledge of English vocabulary has improved. The children are able to remember the vocabulary that is taught properly, the children are able to pronounce the vocabulary correctly, and the children are able to answer questions from the vocabulary given accurately.
