The Heroism of Main Character Toward Social Dimension in Black Widow Movie directed by Cate Shortland

Abstrak

The study aims to analyze the main chacter‘s heroism in a movie entitled Black Widow directed by cate shortland which tells of the struggle of one of the main characters to free another black widow from Dreykov. The object of this study is to analyze the heroic forms perpetrated by the main character. In this study, authors focus only on the heroic nature of Natasha. Researchers were theoretically determined to develop theoretical literature's knowledge of heroic forms in black widows directed by Cate Shortland. In practice, this study has served as both a reference and an example to readers who are interested in examining heroism and particularly the heroism of the main character in the movie.

The study is included in the type of literature criticism because the writer interprets and analyses a literature. It uses the social dimension and heroic theories of Emerson that focus on factors affecting the main character and thus take action during the course of duty. The data comes from a line in the dialogue of the black widow movie which Natasha played as the lead character. The authors took data from the black widow movies by identifying Natasha's actions that could be categorized as heroic and analyzing data with descriptions that relate to the theory.

The results of this study suggest that; The real hero in this movie is the kind of hero that has the five defining heroines in the black widow movie loyalty to leaders, protectors, fighters, empathy to other people, bravery, struggle, Cate Shortland made this movie as a continuation of the previous movie which Natasha describes the heroism of the main characters.
