This study aims to look at students' reading skills before and after the learning process through the power of project-based learning methods in class VII. The research results are useful for teachers and students. Teachers must know that it is important to provide strategies with project-based learning methods before teaching, so that students can easily understand English lessons in class and can make students more active in the learning process. The research subjects in class VII were 20 students. Sampling was carried out using qualitative methods. The design in this study is to use a project-based learning method. With this method to make it easier for students to learn reading skills, namely by memorizing vocabulary, to measure students' reading skills. This aims to determine whether the strength of the method can improve students' reading skills.
