This research focuses on explaining the oppression leads to bravery, like the main character’s action in the Boston Strangler film. This research uses qualitative method, where relevant data is collected from the scene and dialogue found in the movie. The purpose of this research is to make readers, especially women, aware of many cases of women’s oppression that have occurred until now and raise their courage to take action to change the stigma for a better life & better future. The results of the study are the women’s oppression and kinds of courage divided into several parts, the factors that cause women's oppression is patriarchal factors that develop in society, therefore a sense of resistance arises from the impact of women's oppression, this resistance become an important thing in solving the problem of oppression of women.
