This study aims to determine the understanding of self-transformation, the factors that cause self-transformation and the process of self-transformation experienced by the main character through qualitative methods. This research was conducted in the film The Case for Christ.
Data is collected through summaries, film analysis and many others. This study contains definitions, factors, and the process of self-transformation through qualitative methods. The results of the study show that: (1) external and internal factors that cause the main character to undergo self-transformation, namely: a. wife who is no longer in the agreement that has been approved b. work environment such as reopened cases, forthright co-workers and rejection from superiors, c. the father who was thought not to care turns out to be in love with the main character, d. curiosity, hard work and supported by strong motivation (2) the process of the main character experiencing self-transformation, namely: a. pre-contemplation b. contemplation c. preparation d. action e. action (3) and impact after a person experiences self- transformation, namely: a. harmonious marriage b. be a loving father c. be a motivator
