Struggle of The Main Character In The Dark Tower I The Gunslinger Novel by Stephen King

The purpose of this study was to determine the struggle of the main character. The struggle is part of the conflict in the novel. The writer uses a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the struggle of the main character in The Dark Tower I The Gunslinger the novel written by Stephen King. The writer to get the best result is to read the novel The Dark Tower I The Gunslinger and then collect the data, then the writer has to collect material from references from different books and authors and do some comparisons to get the gist of the novel story to support the analysis for a complete final project. As a result of the analysis, the writer reveals that: (1) Types of external struggle such as Man vs Man, Man vs, Supernatural, Man vs Society, and

(2) The results of this study also provide a moral message such as The relationship between humans and themselves, The relationship between humans in the range of social life, and The relationship between humans and their God
