Improving Students Speaking Skills through Dialogue Method (A Field Research at SMK AT-TIIJAAN Sukabumi).

The purpose of this study is to apply the teaching method using dialogue to improve the student’s speaking skill. This research was conducted in class XI and XII RPL at SMK AT-TIIJAAN in Sukabumi in the period of 2020/2021 school year. Learning through the dialogue method is very benefits for the student’s to speak in English through the dialogue. This paper uses qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study show the process of applying teaching speaking English through dialogue method: The teacher implements teaching speaking English by practicing the sepaking with dialogue, explaining the material, giving the question, and making dialogue based on the material discussed. Initially, the students were only required to listen, so in this method, the writer orders the students to explore their abilities and increase their vocabulary. The implementation of learning with the dialogue method has increased significantly for students English speaking skills. It can be seen from the achievement of student improvement score. The mean for the pre-test for class XI RPL is 56.7 and the average post-test score is 79.7. While the average pre-test score for class XII RPL is 51.4 and the average post-test score is 81.9.
