This study aims at indentifying the kinds of translation shifts and finding the dominant of the translation shift that are found in Medcom.id news articles. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data in the news article of Medcom.id is analyzed using the theory of translation shift. The results of this study show that there 4 kinds of translation shift; 5 data from level shifts, 1 data from category shift, 1 data as the strucure shift, and 2 data from unit shift.  The dominant shift found in Medcom.id news article is level shift. This study is significance to know the process of translation from Source Language to Target Language as part of language approach (translation) in English for Specific Purposes.
