Rizka Nur Amalia (31180013), Ambition Reflected From The Main Characters in The Movie of ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan karakter ambisi pada tokoh utama dari film The Pursuit of Happyness berdasarkan aspek psikoanalisis, penelitian ini juga menjelaskan ciri-ciri orang yang memiliki karakter ambisi menurut pernyataan dari salah satu ahli. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif untuk menganalisa karakter ambisi dalam film The Pursuit Of Happyness. Teori-teori yang digunakan dalam menganalisis film ini adalah teori-teori yang diperoleh dari sudut pandang para ahli. Hasil analisa menemukan bahwa ada tiga tipe dasar sifat psikoanalisis, yaitu 1. The id 2. Ego 3. Superego. Penulis juga menemukan tujuh karakteristik ambisi berdasarkan aspek psikologis, yaitu 1. Tujuan 2. Motivasi berprestasi 3. Sikap diri 4. Sikap terhadap orang lain 5. Sikap kegiatan profesional 6. Pengaturan diri 7. Karakteristik kognitif. Film The Pursuit of Happyness mengajarkan bahwa setiap manusia akan lebih baik jika memiliki sifat dasar ambisi yang membuat mereka terus berusaha untuk mencapai tujuan dan tidak pernah menyerah pada tujuan tersebut.

ABSTRACT

 

Rizka Nur Amalia (31180013), Ambition Reflected From The Main Character in The Movie of ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’

This study aims to illustrate the ambition character in the main character from the movie called The Pursuit of Happyness based on the psychoanalytic aspect, this study also explains the characteristics of people who have the character of ambition according to a statement from one expert. The author uses quantitative descriptive methods to analyze the character of ambition in the film The Pursuit Of Happyness. The theories used in analyzing this film are theories obtained from the perspective of experts. The results of the analysis found that there are three basic types of psychoanalytic properties, namely 1. The id 2. Ego 3. Superego. The author also finds seven characteristics of ambition based on psychological aspects, namely 1. Goals 2. Achievement motivation 3. Self-attitude 4. Attitude to other people 5. Attitude professional activity 6. Self-regulation 7. Cognitive Characteristics. The film The Pursuit of Happyness teaches that every human being will be better off if they have the basic nature of ambition that keeps them trying to achieve goals and never give up on those goals.
