Ulfani Paula (31180048), Friendship Value in Jumanji: The Next Level Directed by Jake Kasdan

 

The objective of this research is to determine the value of friendship of all characters using descriptive qualitative methods. This research are conducted in the film Jumanji: The Next Level. The procedures of this research consist of watching the movie, taking some points to discuss, searching references from journals, articles, and books to find out some valuable information, and supporting statements from the experts concerning the data and theories needed. Then, it continues by analyzing the collected data to look for the meaning of the ideas that the writer wants to deliver to the readers. The writer uses dialogue and also the scenes in this film to find out what kind of friendship is seen or exists in this film, and also the writer looks for what elements of friendship values ??are depicted by the actors. The results showed that friendship can be defined by three types, namely utility friendship, pleasure friendship, and kindness friendship. There are several elements of friendship values, namely Loyalty, Empathy, Honesty, Attention, Cooperation, Connection and Trust.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai persahabatan semua karakter dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam film Jumanji: The Next Level. Prosedur penelitian ini terdiri dari menonton film, mengambil beberapa poin untuk didiskusikan, mencari referensi dari jurnal, artikel, dan buku untuk mengetahui beberapa informasi yang berharga, dan pernyataan pendukung dari para ahli mengenai data dan teori yang dibutuhkan. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan menganalisis data yang terkumpul untuk mencari makna dari ide-ide yang ingin disampaikan penulis kepada pembaca. Penulis menggunakan dialog dan juga adegan-adegan yang ada di film ini untuk mencari jenis persahabatan apa saja yang terlihat atau ada di film ini, dan juga penulis mencari elemen-elemen nilai persahabatan apa saja yang digambarkan oleh para pemeran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Persahabatan bisa didefinisikan oleh tiga jenis yaitu persahabatan Utilitas, persahabatan kesenangan, dan persahabatan kebaikan. Ada beberapa unsur nilai persahabatan yaitu Loyalitas, Empati, Kejujuran, Perhatian, Kerjasama, Koneksi dan Kepercayaan.
