Movies based on true stories can make the audience feel the intimacy of the characters, provide an accurate picture of life, and make the audience feel what is happening in this world. The purpose of this research is to find important issues in the form of acts of racism, such as their kinds and effects on victims. This movie provides a realistic picture of how a majority group commits acts of racism against minority groups. This research was conducted through a film called The Greatest Showman, which was directed by Michael Gracey. This film was an adaptation, written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon, of the 18th-century story of Phineas Taylor Barnum. The events of the movie, The Greatest Showman, also occurred in real life today. The author chooses the film The Great Showman and uses the characters as the object of this research. The research method in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study are in the form of the kinds of racism received by the characters, which consist of individual racism, interpersonal racism, institutional racism, structural racism, and cultural racism, as well as the positive and negative effects of racist actions received by victims.
