The objective of this research is to understand the types of language style in sociolinguistics and its use. This is because, not all types of language style can be used to all people. The movie entitled “To All the Boys: Always and Forever” was chosen by the writer to be the object of research. In this study, the writer discussed about language style, types of language style, and also the most dominant language style used in this movie. This paper refers to theory which divided language style based on the level of formality into five types such as: frozen style, formal style, consultative style, casual style, and intimate style. The method used by the writer is qualitative descriptive. In this paper, the writer obtained 26 data, such as: 3 data of consultative style, 20 data of casual style, and 3 data of intimate style. The most dominant language style in this movie is casual style. This is because, the background of the interlocutor in this movie has a close relationship with the main character. After understanding about the types of language style and its use, the writer understand how to determine the most appropriate language style to use when talk to others.
