Dewasa ini penggunaan teknologi dalam bidang informasi dan  manajemen sudah cukup banyak digunakan dalam berbagai organisasi, perusahaan swasta, instansi pendidikan maupun kepemerintahan. Tentu saja hal ini dapat mempermudah segala macam urusan termasuk mempersingkat waktu dan meningkatkan keamanan sesuai apa yang diharapkan oleh setiap klien, kustomer atau masyarakat lain yang berperan di dalamnya. Penyediaan sistem informasi inventarisasi barang ini menjadi hal yang sangat penting bagi perusahaan-perusahaan, salah satunya perusahaan rumah produksi film. Berdasarkan hasil riset pada PT. Mega Kreasi Films yang dilakukan dengan metode berupa pengamatan langsung, wawancara dan juga studi pustaka. Diperoleh hasil bahwa pendataan barang yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan tersebut masih konvensional dan kurang efektif. Masalah yang kerap terjadi adalah ketika pencatatan data secara manual ini menyebabkan pengulangan data yang mengakibatkan pembukuan yang tidak efisien, juga sulitnya dalam melakukan pencarian data yang diperlukan sebagai rekapan suatu inventaris. Dengan adanya masalah tersebut, penulis menawarkan suatu aplikasi sistem informasi berbasis web yang akan membantu tugas para kru film dalam mengelola barangnya.

Today the use of technology in the field of information and management is quite widely used in various organizations, private companies, educational institutions and government. Of course this can simplify all kinds of matters including shortening the time and increasing security according to what is expected by each client, customer or other communities who play a role in it. Provision of information systems on goods inventory has become very important for companies, one of which is film production house companies. Based on research results at PT. Mega Kreasi Films is conducted using methods in the form of direct observation, interviews and also literature study. The results obtained are that the data collection of goods carried out by the company is still conventional and ineffective. The problem that often occurs is when recording data manually causes repetition of data which results in inefficient bookkeeping, as well as difficulty in carrying out the data needed as a recapitulation of inventory. Given these problems, the writer offer a web-based information system application that will assist the task of the film crew in managing their items.
