This study aims to find out the types of social values and the impact of social values on the main characters in the film The Intern, played by Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, directed by Nancy Meyers, which was released in 2015. The writer chose a film entitled The Intern because in this film presents several social values that can be imitated and taken in social life. Social values are divided into three types, namely the social value of compassion, the social value of responsibility, and the social value of harmony in life. The film The Intern tells of an elderly person living alone who has retired and decides to register as an intern at a company engaged in fashion. In the film The Intern, there are several types of social values that can be analyzed more deeply. In this analysis, the writer uses a qualitative descriptive method. The writer also looks for valid sources and information through the library and also digs up information from several journals found on the internet. The writer has watched this film several times and made general observations to strengthen the analysis by knowing the setting and description of the incident. In this film, The Intern, there are social values of compassion, social values of responsibility, and social values of harmony in life, including caring, mutual cooperation, loyalty, responsibility, discipline, empathy, cooperation, open-mindedness, collaboration, adaptability, mutual respect. learn, and don't overdo it.
