                                                                                                                                                  ABSTRACT

 

aims to analyze the film "Wonder" (2017) directed by Stephen Chbosky and based on the novel written by R.J. Palacio. This film tells the story of August Pullman, a boy with facial disabilities who faces difficult challenges in his school life. Initially Auggie saw that he couldn't get along with his peers when he first entered school, later, Auggie continued to build a good image about himself that he was actually unusual because everyone will have "unusual" things in them. Auggie is someone who is pessimistic about his appearance and worries about what other people think. Furthermore, Auggie succeeded in building positive self-esteem by accepting himself and saying that he looks good. However, in the film "Wonder 2017", researchers found that there were family values between Auggie and his family when Auggie entered public school and his family was always by his side who always supported him in both good times and bad. The moral value found in this film is that every human being cannot choose what they are born like but can choose who they want to be.
