ABSTRAK
Wahyu Nugroho (44211261), Peran Produser Dalam Produksi Film
Dokumenter “Si Pahit Yang Favorit”.
Penelitian ini membahas peran produser dalam produksi film dokumenter “Si Pahit
Yang Favorit” yang mngangkat tema sosial, budaya, dan ekonomi seputar kopi
robusta di Lampung. Produser memegang tanggung jawab utama sejak tahap pra
produksi, produksi, hingga pascaproduksi. Dalam tahap pra-produksi, produser
menginisiasi ide, menyusun konsep, mencari narasumber, membuat anggaran, dan
menjadwalkan produksi. Tahap produksi ditekankan pada pengawasan proses
syuting dan koordinasi tim, sedangkan pada pascaproduksi, produser mengawal
proses penyuntingan hingga distribusi. Film ini termasuk dokumenter ekspositori
yang menggunakan narasi voice-over, visual arsip, dan wawancara untuk
menyampaikan informasi faktual. Dokumenter ini tidak hanya menyoroti proses
produksi kopi, namun juga menampilkan kontribusi UMKM dan komunitas lokal
dalam mengelola kopi afkir menjadi produk bernilai. Produksi ini juga
mencerminkan pentingnya kepemimpinan yang efektif dalam sebuah tim kreatif.
Melalui pendekatan manajerial dan strategis, produser menjadi tokoh kunci dalam
memastikan pesan film tersampaikan kepada audiens secara efektif melalui media
massa seperti televisi dan YouTube.

Wahyu Nugroho (44211261), The Role of Producer in the Production of the
Documentary Film “Si Pahit Yang Favorit ”.
This study discusses the role of the producer in the documentary film “Si Pahit
Yang Favorit”, which explores the social, cultural, and economic aspects of
robusta coffee in Lampung. The producer holds a central responsibility throughout
the stages of pre-production, production, and post-production. During pre
production, the producer initiates the idea, develops the concept, identifies sources,
prepares the budget, and schedules the production timeline. The production stage
focuses on supervising filming and team coordination, while post-production
involves overseeing the editing process through to distribution. This film follows
the expository documentary style, utilizing voice-over narration, archival visuals,
and interviews to convey factual information. In addition to highlighting the coffee
production process, the documentary showcases the contributions of local
communities and small businesses in transforming rejected coffee beans into
valuable products. The production also reflects the importance of effective
leadership within a creative team. Through managerial and strategic approaches,
the producer plays a key role in ensuring that the film's message is delivered
effectively to the audience through mass media platforms such as television and
YouTube.
