This study aims to examine the phenomena of code mixing in Cinta Laura's statements during a YouTube podcast with Gritte Agatha. Code mixing is a commonly used language phenomenon in multilingual settings, particularly within digital media. The research employs a descriptive qualitative methodology and utilizes Pieter Muysken’s theory, which classifies code mixing into three categories: insertion, alternation, and congruent lexicalization. The statistics were obtained from the podcast transcript available on Gritte Agatha’s YouTube page. The results indicate that Cinta Laura mostly employs the insertion kind of code mixing. She often incorporates English words or phrases into Indonesian sentences without modifying the primary grammatical framework. This occurrence illustrates her educational background, worldwide experiences, social identity, and communication style. The research demonstrates that code mixing provides a more informal, expressive, and approachable communication style for younger consumers in digital media. This research concludes that code mixing not only characterizes Cinta Laura’s linguistic style but also functions as a communicative strategy that enhances engagement and relatability in digital media.
