In this study, the authors analyzed a film. . According to Baskin, (2003: 4) film is a form of mass communication media from various technologies and various elements of art. The writer chose a horror genre film titled Don't Breathe. The author analyzes the character of revenge on the main character. Revenge is an act that hurts and harms others. The problem discussed by researchers about this film is the depiction of revenge characters in the main character using the theory of Schumann & Ross (2010) and the cause of revenge in the film using the theory of Yoshimura and Boon (2020: 5). The method used by the author in the study is a qualitative descriptive approach method. The results obtained from this study that the author only found three aspects in the theory of Schumann and Ross (2010), namely The persistence of anger, perception of the cost of revenge, and the presence of external system that can restore justice on behalf of victims. As well as six aspects in Yoshimura and Boon's (2020) theory, namely the presence of bad psychological experiences, there is a close relationship between the party who wants to take revenge and the victim, angry, etc.
