ABSTRACT

This research aims to determine students' perceptions about TikTok when learning to speak English. Research that uses qualitative descriptions. To find out students' perceptions, the researcher distributed questionnaires. The results of questionnaire processing are presented using Mean, Median, and Percentage. The research results concluded that 1) the TikTok application has the advantage of being able to motivate students to learn English and practice speaking English, can overcome the challenges that often occur in learning English, as an interesting and interactive media for students, 2) the weakness is the lack of information about the English learning material that students get and less structured material, and 3) the problem with TikTok is that some students do not understand the material when learning using TikTok considering that some students have low comprehension capacity, student internet quota.
