This paper is entitled "Analysis of Figurative Language in Song Lyrics “Make It
Right” and “Permission To Dance” by BTS" which has two objectives. First, to find
out the type of figurative language found in BTS songs. Second, to explain the
denotation of figurative language contained in BTS songs. The data obtained comes
from the internet. From the results of data analysis, the researcher concluded that in
the song "Permission To Dance" there are 4 types of figurative language, namely:
metamorphosis, simile, personification, and alliteration. In the song "Make It Right"
there are 4 types of figurative language, namely: metamorphosis, simile,
personification, and hyperbole. In the song "Butter" the author finds 3 types of
figurative language, namely: simile, symbol, and hyperbole. Meanwhile, in the song
"Dynamite" there are 7 types of figurative language, namely: personification,
metonymy, paradox, understatement, hyperbole, simile, and metamorphosis.
