This research is entitled “Slang Language in Ocean’8 Movie”. The aim of this research is to identify the meanings of slang language used in the Ocean’s 8 Movie and types of slang. This research used qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was done by watching the movie, taking notes of slang language, then looking for the meaning of the slang language that has been recorded. Data analysis was conducted by identifying slang words into five types and calcifying into each type of slang. According to the theory of Allan and Burridge (2006), slang is divided into five types, there are fresh and creative, compound, imitative, acronym, and clipping. From the analysis, the writer found four types of slang in Ocean’s 8 movie, those are fresh and creative, compound, imitative, acronym, and clipping. The most types of slang is compound slang with a total of 19 slang languages, in second type is fresh and creative with a total of 8 slang languages, clipping with a total of 7 slang languages, and the last is imitative with a total of 4 slang languages. The conclusion of this research obtained is that slang is a language used in daily life and always changes in the times.
