The method of character education is usually applied in education institutions.

Character education is considered as the best solution to overcome the problems of

the Indonesian nation. The intended target in this research is to improve the quality

of learning. It explores the impact of character values on enhancing English writing

proficiency. The aim is to determine how integrating character education into

writing instruction can improve students' writing skills, particularly in descriptive

essays. The study employs a literature review and data collection through lesson

plans and instructional activities over three months, focusing on values such as

integrity, perseverance, and empathy. Results indicate that incorporating character

values significantly enhances students' ability to express ideas clearly and effectively.

The findings suggest that structured teaching methods and character-focused

assignments lead to improved writing abilities and deeper understanding of

character traits. The study concludes that a dual approach of teaching writing and

reinforcing character values fosters better student outcomes and offers practical

recommendations for further enhancing educational practices.
