Abstrak

The main character is a mother named Josey Aimes, who has two children and is abused by her husband. The movie was released in 2005. Josey was forced to stay at her parents' house temporarily until she found a job. Josey finally signed up for a mine in the Minnesota area so that she could provide for her two children. However, in mine there is discrimination and sexual harassment against female workers, but they do not dare to voice these problems and think that it is normal because they work in a male-dominated place. There are two problem formulations in this film, the first analyzes the character of Josey Aimes, and the second analyzes the feminism of Josey's characteristics.

The results of the analysis are divided into two things, the first is the characteristics of Josey who has several characterizations, such as being stubborn, independent and steadfast. The second is how Josey's characteristics can illustrate feminism. Josey's ability to cope with situations by speaking in front of many people. All of these can be seen from Josey's responses and actions when she started working at the mine.
